Purpose. The purpose of the Employment Code is to establish a system of human resources management based upon merit principles. (Source: P.A. 85-1167.)
Definitions. For the purposes of this Code, unless the context indicates otherwise, the following words shall have the meaning ascribed to them as follows: "Board". The Personnel Review Board created by this Code. "Division". Division of Personnel. (Source: P.A. 85-1167.)
Organization. There is created in the Office of the State Treasurer: (a) a Division of Personnel with primary responsibility for personnel transactions; and (b) a Personnel Review Board. (Source: P.A. 85-1167.)
Jurisdiction; exemptions. All offices and positions of employment in the Office of Treasurer shall be subject to this Code unless specifically exempted herein. (Source: P.A. 85-1167.)
