Short title. This Act may be cited as the Public Purchases in Other States Act. (Source: P.A. 86-1324.)
The term "institution," as used in this Act, means all institutions maintained by the State or any political subdivision thereof or municipal corporation therein, including municipally-owned public utility plants. (Source: Laws 1939, p. 1155.)
The board of trustees or other officer or officers in charge of every institution in the State of Illinois, which is supported in whole or in part by public funds, who are authorized or required to purchase commodities for use in the operation of any such institution, shall, in purchasing such commodities from vendors…
