As used in this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, the terms specified in Sections 2.01 through 2.05 have the meanings ascribed to them in those Sections. (Source: P.A. 91-357, eff. 7-29-99.)
"Director" means the Director of the Illinois State Police. (Source: P.A. 102-538, eff. 8-20-21.)
"Metropolitan Enforcement Group" or "MEG" means a combination of units of local government established under this Act to enforce the drug laws of this State. (Source: P.A. 80-617.)
"Unit of local government" is defined as in Article VII, Section 1 of the Constitution, and includes both home rule units and units which are not home rule units. (Source: P.A. 80-617.)
"Drug laws" means all laws regulating the production, sale, prescribing, manufacturing, administering, transporting, having in possession, dispensing, delivering, distributing or use of "controlled substances", as defined in the Illinois Controlled Substances Act, and "cannabis", as defined in the Cannabis Control Act.…
