Legislative findings and purpose. (a) The General Assembly finds the following: (1) Lupus is an urgent national health issue. Definitions. For the purpose of this Act: "Department" means the Department of Public Health. "Director" means the Director of Public Health. "Panel" means the Interagency and Partnership Advisory Panel on Lupus. "Program" means the Lupus Education and Awareness Program (LEAP). (Source: P.A. 96-1108, eff. 1-1-11.)
