Definitions. For the purposes of this Act: (a) The term "Illinois financial institution" means: (1) a State bank, a national bank, or an out-of-state bank, as those terms are defined in the Illinois Banking Act, or any subsidiary of a State bank, a national bank, or an out-of-state bank; (2) a foreign banking corporati…
Action for damages. An Illinois financial institution shall not be liable in a Year 2000 action brought by or for damages incurred by persons not in privity of contract with the Illinois financial institution in connection with the transaction that gave rise to the Year 2000 claim.
