Short title.
This act may be cited as the "veterans cemetery act".

This act may be cited as the "veterans cemetery act".
As used in this act: (a) "Department" means the department of military and veterans affairs. (b) "Director" means the director of the department. (c) "Fund" means the veterans cemetery fund created in section 5.
(1) The department may acquire and purchase land in a county with a population of not less than 12,500 and not greater than 13,500 that is suitable for a veterans cemetery or designate land owned by this state under the jurisdiction of the department in a county with a population of not less than 12,500 and not greater…
(1) The veterans cemetery fund is created in the state treasury. (2) The treasurer shall deposit money and other assets from any source in the fund. (1) The director shall administer a veterans cemetery created under this act. (2) The director shall comply with federal laws and regulations in administering a cemetery created under this act.
The legislature shall appropriate sufficient money to accomplish the purpose of this act.
