The department of public health shall establish a state plan for the creation and operation of a poison control center network, providing for regional poison control centers, including appropriate services in the Upper Peninsula.
The department of public health shall establish an advisory committee composed of a representative of each poison center in this state, for the purpose of developing guidelines for the implementation and operation of the state plan for the poison control center network.
