Short title.
This act shall be known and may be cited as the "prostate cancer research fund act".

Definitions.
As used in this act: (a) "Department" means the department of community health. (b) "Fund" means the prostate cancer research fund created in section 3.

(1) The money, interest, and earnings of the fund shall be expended solely for grants to any of the following: (a) A medical school located in this state. Use of money as matching fund.
Money from the fund may be used as matching funds for a federal grant or a grant from the national cancer institute.

The money in the fund that is available for distribution shall be appropriated each year.
