It is the purpose of this chapter to provide the motorcycle riders of the state with an affordable motorcycle skills education program in order to promote motorcycle safety awareness.

It is the purpose of this chapter to provide the motorcycle riders of the state with an affordable motorcycle skills education program in order to promote motorcycle safety awareness.
Unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the definitions in this section apply throughout this chapter.(1) "Department" means the department of licensing.(2) "Director" means the director of licensing.(3) "Motorcycle" has the same meaning as provided in RCW 46.04.330 and excludes off-road motorcycles.(4) "Motorcy…

The director may receive gifts, grants, or endowments from private sources which shall be deposited in the motorcycle safety [education] account within the highway safety fund.
