§ 8-802 Powers and duties of police officers. The police officers so
appointed shall have all the powers and be subject to the duties and
liabilities of constables of towns in serving process in any civil
action or proceeding. In addition to other powers conferred by law, said
police officers shall have power to execute any warrant or process
issued by a court of the county or counties in which such village is
situated.
