Intent; purposes. This Act creates a comprehensive approach to ensuring pretrial success, justice, and individual and communal well-being. The Act minimizes the number of people detained pretrial by ensuring access to community-based pretrial supports and services. (Source: P.A. 103-588, eff. 6-5-24.)
