§ 63.100 Establishment and membership.

There is hereby established a National Sheep Industry Improvement Center Board. The Board is composed of seven voting members and two non-voting members. Voting members of the Board shall be appointed by the Secretary from nominations submitted in accordance with this part. The Board shall consist of the following: (a) Voting members. (1) Four members shall be active producers of sheep or goats in the United States; (2) Two members shall have expertise in finance and management; and (3) One member shall have expertise in lamb, wool, goat, or goat product marketing. (b) Non-voting members. (1) One member shall be the Under Secretary of Agriculture for Rural Development, USDA; and (2) One member shall be the Under Secretary for Research, Education, and Economics, USDA.
