Sec. 3. (a) To aid the governor in the selection of the student member of the board of trustees, a search and screen committee is created. The search and screen committee consists of: (1) one (1) representative of the governor; and (2) at least four (4) students chosen by the elected student government representatives of the student body. (b) The search and screen committee shall establish the mode and criteria to be used in the selection of student nominees to serve on the board of trustees. (c) The search and screen committee shall submit a list of the names of at least five (5) individuals to the governor for consideration. (d) The governor shall select one (1) of these individuals for appointment as a trustee in accordance with this chapter.
