(1) A person from a jurisdiction other than Colorado may form a limited liability company as an artist company pursuant to this part 12 or cause an existing limited liability company to become an artist company by amending its articles of organization in accordance with this part 12. (2) The formation of an artist company under this part 12 is governed by the laws of the state, and an artist company formed under this part 12 is a domestic limited liability company for all purposes under this article 80, regardless of the residence or domicile of its artist-members. (3) Nothing in this section affects the requirements for foreign limited liability companies under part 9 of this article 80.
