§ 160.045-3 Definitions.

The following definitions apply to this subpart: Commandant means the Chief of the Lifesaving and Fire Safety Standards Division. First quality workmanship means construction that is free from any defect materially affecting appearance or serviceability. Recognized laboratory means an independent laboratory accepted by the Commandant in accordance with subpart 159.010 of this subchapter, with a valid memorandum of understanding in accordance with § 159.010-7 of this subchapter.
