§ 8.205 Cybersecurity labeling authorization.

(a) Cybersecurity labeling authorization is an authorization issued by a Cybersecurity Label Administrator (CLA) and authorized under the authority of the Commission, which grants an applicant of a complying consumer IoT product to display the FCC IoT Label on the relevant packaging for the complying consumer product, based on compliance with the program requirements as determined by the CLA. (b) Cybersecurity labeling authorization attaches to all units of the complying consumer IoT product subsequently marketed by the grantee that are identical (see § 8.206) to the sample determined to comply with the program requirements except for permissive changes or other variations authorized by the Commission.
