Annually, the standing committees of the house of representatives and the senate that primarily consider legislation governing the medicaid program shall meet jointly and conduct a review of one-quarter of the medicaid waiver components as defined in section 5166.01 of the Revised Code operating within the medicaid program. The review shall focus on the waiver's purpose and evaluate the waiver's success at achieving the desired purpose. The standing committees shall review all medicaid waiver components within the medicaid program before conducting a subsequent review of any medicaid waiver component.
