(a) Elections of trustees of community colleges shall be conducted by the county election officer of the county in which the main campus of the college is located. In any college district having territory in more than one county, the county election officers of all such counties shall cooperate with the county election officer of the county in which the main campus is located, and upon establishing any new community college or adding territory to any of the community college districts, the state board, in accordance with this section, shall specify the county in which the main campus shall be located for the purpose of this section. General community college elections shall be held on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November of each odd-numbered year.
(b) Any primary community college election shall be held on the first Tuesday of August of each odd-numbered year in accordance with K.S.A. 25-205, and amendments thereto.
(c) Notice of the time and place of holding each primary and general election shall be published by the county election officer in a newspaper published in the county in accordance with K.S.A. 25-105 and 25-209, and amendments thereto.
