Failure to comply with conditions of supervised release

A. A person who fails to comply with the conditions of supervised release as provided for in R.S. 15:561.5 shall, upon first conviction, be fined not more than one thousand dollars and imprisoned with hard labor for not less than two years nor more than ten years without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. B. Upon second or subsequent convictions, whoever fails to comply with the conditions of supervised release as provided for in R.S. 15:561.5 shall be fined three thousand dollars and imprisoned with hard labor for not less than five years nor more than twenty years without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. C. In addition to any venue provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, a violation of this Section may be prosecuted in the parish where the violation occurred.
