REIMBURSEMENT FOR SERVICES

(a) The board shall require a county, municipality, or public hospital located outside the boundaries of the district to reimburse the district for the district's care and treatment of a sick or injured person of that county, municipality, or hospital as provided by Chapter 61, Health and Safety Code. (b) The board shall require the sheriff of Baylor County to reimburse the district for the district's care and treatment of a person who is confined in a jail facility of Baylor County and is not a resident of the district. (c) On behalf of the district, the board may contract with the state or federal government for that government to reimburse the district for treatment of a sick or injured person.
