(a) Except as otherwise provided by this chapter, Chapter 49, Water Code, applies to the authority. (b) This chapter does not prevail over or preempt a provision of Chapter 36, Water Code, or of Chapter 8801 or 8834 of this code that is being implemented by the Fort Bend Subsidence District or applicable subsidence district. (c) Chapter 36, Water Code, does not apply to the authority.
