In this chapter: (1) "Child" means a person who is 12 years of age or older and younger than 19 years of age. (2) "Juvenile court" means a court designated under Section 51.04 to exercise jurisdiction over proceedings under Title 3. (3) "Qualified telephone interpreter" means a telephone service that employs licensed court interpreters, as defined by Section 157.001, Government Code. (4) "Truancy court" means a court designated under Section 65.004 to exercise jurisdiction over cases involving allegations of truant conduct.
