(a) The retirement system may enter into agreements with the secretary to obtain social security coverage for employees of the state or a political subdivision. (b) An agreement between the retirement system and the secretary may contain any appropriate provision, including a provision relating to coverage, benefits, contributions, effective date, modification, and administration.
