(a) The office shall: (1) perform duties imposed on the office by Section 508.146, Government Code; and (2) periodically identify state jail felony defendants suitable for release under Article 42A.561, Code of Criminal Procedure, and perform other duties imposed on the office by that article. (b) The office shall approve and make generally available in electronic format a standard form for use by experts in reporting competency examination results under Chapter 46B, Code of Criminal Procedure. (c) The office shall approve and make generally available in electronic format a standard form for use by a person providing a written report under Article 16.22(a)(1)(B), Code of Criminal Procedure.
