Every contract, grant, loan and direct payment the federal government committed for Connecticut in fiscal year 2025: which agencies, under which programs, who received it, and where in the state.
Connecticut carries 6.9% of the nation’s Medicare but has 1.07% of its people. USAspending publishes Medicare in aggregate, and the state it records does not follow where beneficiaries live, so the $80.5B recorded here is far more than Connecticut's own residents could account for. The per-person figure above leaves Medicare out for that reason; the total includes it.
Award obligations, the amounts committed in the year, by the place where the work is done or the money is received, as agencies reported them to USAspending.gov. Social Security is counted where the people who receive it live; Medicare is not (see its figure above). Not here: federal employees’ salaries, the running of agencies, and interest on the debt, which are not awards. Per person uses the Census Bureau's estimate of 3,688,496 residents on 1 July 2025.

The same awards by the congressional district USAspending records for the place of performance. Some awards carry no district, so these add to less than the state’s total. Each opens the district's own page.
