S. 2701: TO TABLE THE DENTON, AL) AMENDMENT TO S 2701, THE COMPREHENSIVE ANTI-APARTHEID ACT, WHICH WOULD RESTRICT THE USE OF FUNDS UNDER THE FOREIGN ASSISTANCE ACT OF 1961 TO ANY COUNTRY WHICH ARRESTED OR IMPRISONED BLACK SOUTH AFRICAN EXILES FOR PURPOSES OTHER THAN IMMEDIATE EXPULSION OR FOR ACTIVITIES WHICH WOULD NOT BE CRIMINAL IN THE UNITED STATES, UNLESS WAIVED BY THE PRESIDENT IF HE DETERMINES THAT IT IS IN THE NATIONAL SECURITY INTERESTS OF THE UNITED STATES AND SO CERTIFIES TO CONGRESS.
