S. 2706: TO AGREE TO A MOTION TO WAIVE THE GERMANENESS REQUIREMENT OF THE CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET ACT AS IT APPLIES TO THE DANFORTHEAGLETON, MO) AMENDMENT TO S 2706, THE OMNIBUS BUDGET RECONCILIATION ACT. THE AMENDMENT WOULD ENSURE THE PRESERVATION OF EMPLOYEE SENIORITY RIGHTS IN AIRLINE MERGERS AND SIMILAR TRANSACTIONS. (A THREE-FIFTHS MAJORITY OF THE TOTAL SENATE IS REQUIRED TO WAIVE THE GERMANENESS REQUIREMENT OF THE BUDGET ACT).
