H.R. 2127: On Agreeing to the Amendment — (HOUSE REJECTED THE SANDERS AMENDMENT THAT SOUGHT TO PROHIBIT USE OF FUNDS BY THE NIH TO CONVEY EXCLUSIVE LICENSE OR PATENT RIGHTS FOR A DRUG; RELEASE ON AN EXCLUSIVE BASIS DRUG TESTING INFORMATION DERIVED FROM NIH ANIMAL TESTS OR HUMAN CLINICAL TRIALS; OR ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT UNDER THE STEVENSON-WYDLER TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION ACT OF 1980 AND PROVIDE THAT THESE RESTRICTIONS COULD BE WAIVED WHEN IT IS DETERMINED THAT A REASONABLE PRICING CLAUSE IS NOT IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST.)
