H.R. 7228: TO TABLE THE JAVITS AMENDMENT TO H.R. 7228, TO PERMIT THE USE OF MEANS OTHER THAN STAMPS ON CONTAINERS OF DISTILLED SPIRITS AS EVIDENCE OF TAX PAYMENT. THE JAVITS AMENDMENT EXTENDS THE SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME WELFARE PROGRAM FOR THE NEEDY, AGED, BLIND AND DISABLED TO PUERTO RICO, GUAM AND THE VIRGIN ISLANDS.
