H.R. 1652: TO AMEND THE SOLOMON AMENDMENT TO H.R. 1652, A BILL AMENDING THE RECLAMATION SAFETY OF DAMS ACT OF 1978. THE SOLOMON AMENDMENT GIVES THE SECRETARY THE AUTHORITY TO UNDERTAKE IMPORTANT SAFETY WORK TO PROTECT LIVES AND PROPERTY PRIOR TO CONTRACT AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE SECRETARY AND THE BENEFICIARIES. THE EDGAR AMENDMENT MAKES A PERFECTING CHANGE IN THE WORDING OF THE AMENDMENT. (MOTION PASSED)
